Address: 38 Seogwang-ro 32-gil, Idoi-dong, Cheju, Jeju-do
Hours: 11AM–11PM Phone: 064-757-8182 This is NOT The Indian Kitchen! The similar names can be confusing. This is a restaurant in Jeju city that is also a very good for an Indian food fix. The menu is select. The owner speaks good English, and it is in a very funky part of Jeju City, near City Hall. Kevin's the Hairdresser is just across the way. Do not be fooled by the menu... There is no butter chicken on there, BUT if you say "Like Butter Paneer, but with chicken" they understand. The Tandoori chicken is awesome, as is the lamb rogan josh. This is defintely one of those "huh?!" places. Again, in the middle of nowhere, quite far away, but definitely a must if you like Indian food.
Baghdad House is owned by a Nepalese man, married to a Korean woman. He met his wife while he was working in India. It is a Hotel/B&B and a fantastic restaurant that is open to the public. Good parking facilities. Outside there are lovely flower gardens. You enter the restaurant and you are immediately taken by the funky decor. Chandeliers, tasteful pieces of furniture, a cool atmosphere... The indian food is amazing. All your typical staples are there: Butter chicken (OMG Yummy), Lamb curry (quite spicy), Chicken Tikka (DAMN!!!), Paneer done various ways, delicious naan, but sadly...no popadoms. The batteries used in the smoke alarms in Raon are Lithium batteries. They rarely need to be changed. But just in case you do.. here is what they look like.
Turn in between the blue van (which of course will no longer be there), and the Blue and white sign for the small car park.
This is the closest supermarket to us in the GEC and has everything you will basically need. It even has some things that are brought in from the Martro in Jeju city!
