Those pesky shopping sites that don't deliver here
The frustration is real! You find JUST the right thing you need, you go to the check out and find they don't deliver here. Sigh!
However, this might help.
COLISEXPAT.com - www.colisexpat.com
This site helps people like us with this specific problem. Free registration at this site gets you two addresses (an American one and a French one to begin with, and now there are addresses in Canada, the UK and other places too). You have your goods sent to one of these addresses and for a small shipping fee the company sends them on to you here. Easy!
Which addresses should you use?
For example, use the American address for sites that only ship to the USA (e.g. LL Bean), use the UK address for the sites that only ship within the UK, etc...

Korean Import Customs PIN number
'"What's this?" We hear you ask?
This is a PIN number that you may required to give in order to receive some of your online ordered goods. Mostly, you don't need this but be aware that at some point you might. You will know you need it when you get a message (e-mail or text) from the company you ordered your goods from, or their delivery company, telling you your order can't be delivered because customs needs additional information.
This PIN number is linked to your cell phone, so make sure your details are correct when you decide on your phone provider, whether you set this up through school or not. (Also make sure that you have the Korean spelling of your name recorded somewhere where you an copy and paste it. You will need this later. ) This will avoid problems later when you try to get this number sorted out.
FYI - Amazon.co.uk has asked for this in the past, as has ASOS.
Where do you get this?
Don't get one unless you need one? It's not a necessity unless you are going to use known sites that you will need to use this for.
You will need a Korean speaker to help you with this. It usually takes about 5 minutes to set up. It's free... but it is all In Korean. BHA peeps... ask someone in the HR office to help you!
You will need: -
But also check out this blog post from 2014 - you may not need to ever get one. Although, it has to be said that requirements such as these change frequently and quickly here, so it's best to try to keep up with the changes through the FaceBook pages mentioned on the home page, or through word of mouth.

As above... the shipping prices SEEM to be a little bit cheaper. |
