Getting a taxi driver to get you back to the GEC can be interesting ;-) (from the airport for example)
BHA is not on many maps, and the GEC, although becoming a little more well known to the local community, is still not the epicentre of the universe.
So, if you need to get back to the GEC, here is a map to show a taxi driver of where BHA is, with some explanation in Korean.

Also, mention 'O'Sulloc', the nearby tea museum. Everybody knows where that is, and the GEC is 5 mins from there. ;-)
Finding a taxi to go the airport on a day the school closes for a holiday can be nearly impossible - be prepared for this so you don't miss your flight!
On such occasions, it's best to arrange a taxi in advance for a specific time (the BHA secretaries at the School Centre and the JS office are very gracious in helping non-Korean speakers do this), taking the 151 bus to the airport, or having someone who's not traveling take you to the airport. Check this BUSES PAGE for a timetable, etc.

The best way to book a taxi is via a Korean friend, or via your school secretary.

Taxi numbers
'Jeju Global Taxi' service: - which we've recently found. They have English/Chinese/Japanese service and help you book taxi.
Tel: - call 1899-4314 (no prefix required) from your mobile. There are 15 drivers who speak English in this system.
However... you may find that if they don’t happen to be in the GEC area, or somewhere nearby, they won’t come pick you up. They suggest that you call “local taxi” instead. This service might be good for those who’d like to book a taxi way in advance.
